Spero Skirt - Digital Sewing Pattern

The Spero Skirt is a simple high wasited pull-on knit skirt, designed for everyday wear. This midi-length skirt features a relaxed straight silhouette and elastic waistband. The back slit adds just the right amount of movement, allowing you to walk with ease.

Designed with beginners in mind, this pattern is an excellent introduction to sewing with knit fabrics. You’ll learn essential techniques and gain confidence as you sew. For experienced makers, it’s a fast and enjoyable project. Step-by-step instructions and detailed illustrations make the process simple and stress-free.

The Spero Skirt holds a very special place in my heart. I wanted to find a way to use my work to give back, so every sale from this pattern goes toward supporting a specific cause. Right now, all proceeds are being donated to Community Aid Network MN. I’ll continue to share updates if that changes.

The name Spero (SPAY-roh) means “I hope” in Latin. It’s inspired by the phrase Dum Spiro, Spero—“While I breathe, I hope.” That message of resilience and compassion felt like the perfect reflection of what this project stands for.

FIT GUIDE

Choosing the right size

The Spero Skirt is designed to have a relaxed fit and sit at your high waist. The pattern was drafted for someone who is 5’5” (152.5cm). I recommend choosing your size based off of your hip measurement. Much more info provided in the pattern about sizing and fit.

The finished garment measurement chart shows the measurements of each size once it’s sewn up. Use this to help decide which size will fit your body best. The waist measurement is without elastic (or what it would be stretched), the final waist measurement will differ depending on the length of elastic you choose.
